The 5XZ series gravity separator offers three models based on processing capacity: 5XZ-8, 5XZ-8C, and 5XZ-15.
This equipment is specifically designed for the precise separation of healthy grains and seeds from defective particles, such as those that are moldy, diseased, insect-damaged, or internally hollow. Gravity separators have long been used for the fine cleaning of seeds and legumes, a technology originally invented by Oliver Manufacturing Company in the United States. Now, after numerous improvements by various companies, it has become a very mature and reliable cleaning technology.
Similar to de-stoner, this equipment mainly consists of the following components: a support frame, a fan, and a gravity vibrating table.
1. The support frame supports the entire machine, ensuring the stable operation of all functional parts.
2. The fan provides the necessary airflow for the equipment, with seven fan units.
3. The gravity table consists of a frame and a stainless steel screen, with a porous airflow distribution plate below the screen. It is usually placed at a certain angle of inclination during operation.
During operation, the fan blows air upwards, and the airflow passes through the airflow distribution plate and the gravity table screen, lifting the material. The airflow distribution plate ensures even airflow distribution, while the screen supports the material, allowing air to pass through without the seeds falling through.
Generally, there is a weight difference between healthy seeds and undesirable impurities. For example, lighter impurities such as moldy grains, insect-damaged grains, broken stems, and broken grains will float to the surface under the action of the airflow; while full, healthy seeds remain in the lower layer. Under the vibration and friction of the gravity table, the good seeds in the lower layer gradually move upwards, while the lighter impurities in the upper layer, lacking sufficient friction, drift towards the lower end along the inclined table surface, thus achieving effective separation.
The gravity separator is a very precise piece of equipment. After most impurities have been removed by other machines, this equipment can perform extremely precise separation of various impurities based on subtle weight differences.
